Hello, my name is Clare! I’m a writer, dog lover, hiker, feminist, yogi, and backpacker. I started Someone’s Sparrow as a way to find my way back home to myself. I’ve collected some creative writing pieces that I’ve created over the years in an attempt to be brave: here are my stories, my heartbreaks, my hopes, my longings, all laid bare. This is my sparrow, and I hope you find yours.

“Tell me about despair, yours, and I will tell you mine. Meanwhile the world goes on. Meanwhile the sun and the clear pebbles of the rain are moving across the landscapes, over the praries and the deep trees, the mountains and the rivers. Meanwhile the wild geese, high in the clean blue air, are heading home again.”
